Learning Art at CIS
The CIS campus is akin to a living art museum. With plenty of student art and purposeful sculptures adorning our walls, corridors and open areas, it is easy to see that the Arts are a vital part of our holistic education. In their art classes, students learn to appreciate different forms of arts and master skills to express themselves through various ways, contributing to our artistic environment.

In CIS history, our graduates were passionate to pursue their dreams in arts and design. CIS graduates have received offers from top Art and Design schools: Emily Carr University, OCAD, top art schools in Canada, and GAFA, the best art school in southern China. This is the best proof of our quality art program at CIS.

I would like to commend Aryam, our Grade 12 student. Throughout this school year, she showcased an explorative range of art portfolios from traditional art practices to digital arts. She depicts a journey of her life through her own lens, using her memories of living in China to communicate her unique self-expression and self-discovery.
In our second semester, Art 10 students created an exploration of identity. These lessons helped students explore their own identity by learning different forms and styles of art to their own artistic expressions of resiliency, resistance, and celebration. Please enjoy their first showcase.
With applause and best wishes for an artistic future…
