Class of 2028 and Class of 2034!
After our momentous celebration for our wonderful Class of 2022, CIS celebrated our (future) Class of 2028 and Class of 2034!
The Leap: From Grade 6 to Grade 7
Moving up to Junior High is a big transition stage for our current Grade 6s. There will be more challenges, higher expectations, better time management, and plenty of course options! As our students bid farewell to Grade 6, let’s take the opportunity to celebrate the journey we have spent together in elementary school, the trophies we won, the memories we created, the silly jokes we laughed at, and the successes that we collectively deserve. We are confident that our Grade 6 students are ready for this big transition from the familiar faces and surroundings of elementary school, to the new routines, teachers and classmates that they will meet along their school journey in Junior High.
Mr. Gary Rehman, Principal of CIS and Mrs. Gabriela Valla, Assistant Principal of ECE and Elementary School, welcomed Grade 6 families to the Moving Up Ceremony for the Class of 2028. Students received certificates and awards, and gave a rousing performance that truly melted parents’ hearts. Last but not least, Mr. Ted Barks, Assistant Principal of Secondary, gave them special gifts to welcome them to Junior High!
“We can’t wait to see you back in 2028, walking across the stage of W Hall to pick up your High School Diploma! Onwards and upwards, Grizzlies!”
A Happy Ceremony: From Kindergarteners to Grade One Students!
For our Kindergarteners, emotions ran high as we witnessed our young ones grow up, conquer their challenges (and wipe a few tears along the way!) and finally head off to Grade 1! They have learnt to be independent, collaborative and successful learners at CIS, all while making friends and forming important social and emotional connections.
Thank you, families, for joining us in this special year-end celebration. We look forward to what the future brings us!
Congratulations, Class of 2028 and Class of 2034, you’ve all made it!
