Parent Workshops: Building Partnerships for Student Success

Preschool, Kindergarten and Grade 1 builds the foundation for success in school and a lifelong love of learning. 

On March 12, CIS invited parents from Kindergarten and Grade 1 for a interactive session presented by Principal Gary Rehman and ECE Division Head/Kindergarten teacher Ms. Maria Fawcett. 

Why Did CIS Host this Parent Workshop for our ECE and Grade 1 Parents?

The purpose of this workshop was to enhance parents’ understanding of developmentally appropriate practice, the differences between various international curricula, and how to build competencies in young children. The growth of the whole child involves physical, intellectual, social, moral and creative elements, and at CIS, this is recognized through our innovative, developmentally appropriate curriculum and programs of study.
