As one of the most important facets of our commitment to holistic education, the CIS After School Activity (ASA) program aligns with the mission of CIS: To create an environment that will support the intellectual, cultural, physical, social and emotional growth of the individual.
For the first semester of school year 2022-2023, CIS is excited to provide over 80 different activities covering Academics, Language, Sports, STEAM, Arts and Leadership. Students can choose up to 5 different options during the week to explore their interest and develop their talents.
Language Arts: French, Arabic, Spanish and Chinese
This year, CIS is very excited to add Spanish and Arabic to our ASA options. French remains a popular language option too. Our Chinese Language Arts options have been greatly enriched, and now includes a literature club, calligraphy lessons and more.
The Grizzly Sports Academy (open to CIS and non-CIS students) has grown from just offering 2 sports last year (Football and Gymnastics), to a total of 5 sports this year, adding Basketball, Swimming and Dance to its repertoire. As a top-quality sports program in the Guangzhou community, the Academy’s mission to promote the enjoyment of sports, and develop children’s sporting talents with the help and support of highly professional coaches.
Our Sports ASAs also include new and classic options such as Skipping Rope, Synchronized Swimming, Taekwondo, even horse-back riding!

STEAM: Drone, Robotics, AI and Programming…
As the most popular categories, STEAM ASAs caters to all ages, from our youngest to the oldest students. From Lego and Robotics, to AI and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, expect some COOL projects happening very soon!
