Keep on Reading! Book Recommendations from CIS Library①

Canadian International School of Guangzhou 2022-01-21

Chinese New Year is just one week away. Apart from some well-deserved time for family reunion, it's always nice to grab a book and read too! Reading is a vital part of the CIS academic culture. We see students and staff reading in our beautiful reading space, aptly named the ‘Learning Commons.’ On a regular basis, we invite parents and guests to read to our students. Our classrooms are also equipped with mini-libraries, an essential part of the classroom environment. And this year, CIS also built an ECE library, perfect for our little ones to enjoy a book. Reading is as much a habit as it is an activity that anyone can enjoy anytime!

Mr. Dean from CIS Learning Commons has a collection of wonderful books for students and families to read during this holiday. Here's our first list out of three for younger readers (age 2-6). From Chinese traditions to a story about friendship, we hope this list inspires you to pick up a book and travel to a universe of words, pictures and more. Read on, CIS!
