Discovery Lab for ECE & Elementary

At CIS, that journey begins in our new Discovery Lab, a lab designed specifically for Early Years and Elementary students. As one of two innovation labs on campus, the Discovery Lab is a place where younger students learn by doing, asking questions, testing possibilities, and building solutions with their own hands.

For our younger learners, innovation often starts with something simple: a question, an observation, or an idea they cannot stop thinking about. Through making, experimenting, and creating, students begin to see that learning is not just about finding answers, but about discovering what is possible.

As they grow, so does the complexity of their work. Students develop the skills to design, test, refine, and improve their ideas, building resilience, creativity, and problem-solving abilities along the way. Their journey continues in CIS's IDEA Lab, a more advanced makerspace equipped with specialized tools and technology that support deeper project-based learning. Here, students tackle increasingly sophisticated challenges, applying their knowledge in meaningful and innovative ways.

Together, the Discovery Lab and IDEA Lab create a pathway for our students to grow as makers, thinkers, and innovators:
