A Bear-y Special Children’s Concert!

The CIS Children's Music Concert 2025 soared to success with captivating melodies and a dramatic extravaganza like no other! The concert, themed "A Million Masks," was inspired by The Phantom of the Opera's masquerade ball. Students wore different masks, performed music from various genres, and added fun skits and interactive segments, breaking the traditional concert format. With performances from several ensembles, students proudly showcased their confidence and artistic talent.
The audience was thrilled to see our Grizzly mascot as the musical conductor, bringing a wild twist to the concert. The energy was contagious, and laughter filled the air. Who would have thought Grizz the CIS Bear could lead such an amazing show?

As Mr. Anderson mentioned, "It's not just about parents or grandparents as the audience; students need to perform in front of their peers and younger students." He emphasized that the ultimate goal is not to create professional musicians, but to develop essential skills for the future. For older students, it was a chance to lead, while younger students got an engaging introduction to the musical arts. Many young viewers hoped to perform on stage like that in the future.
CIS offers music courses from preschool through Grade 12, fostering a love for music. Students showcase their talents in key events like the Winter Music Festival, Jazz Band Gala, International Day Concert, and plenty more.

This concert showed once again that arts education across grade levels promotes growth and inspiration. We thank the teachers and students for such a wonderful performance and look forward to more students joining this magical experience next year!
