CIS Swimvitational
On May 15th, the CIS swimming pool was bustling with excitement as the first ever CIS Swim Invitational took place. Over sixty young swimmers from CIS Guangzhou, Benenden International School, and Nord Anglia International School competed in this thrilling event. Notably, this was our CIS’s first age group swimming competition, with participants ranging from 7 to 16 years old.
At the competition, swimmers sprinted hard, showcasing their passion and dedication to the sport. Thanks to their outstanding performances, CIS students clinched 12 honors across various categories including 9 individual overall high points medals and 3 team relays medals, Congratulations to our Grizzlies’ swimmers!
After the event, students, parents, and coaches from the international schools expressed high praise for the competition. They were mentioning that this event not only provided a platform for the students to showcase their swimming skills but also fostered friendship and interaction between different schools.
In an interview, Our Grizzlies’ Swimming head coach Lucia said, “We are extremely proud to be the first international school to host an all age group swimming event in Guangzhou. It showed our courage and ambitions that we are serious about swimming. At CIS Grizzlies Swim Academy, we are committed to providing the best swimming education for students for all ages. We hope that through such events, more children will be interested in swimming and benefit from this lifelong sport!” We are looking forward to hosting more competitions, and offering more opportunities to let our swimmers demonstrate their abilities.
