Summer Holiday Notice

Dear families, 

The 2020-2021 CIS School Year is coming to an end and the Summer Holiday runs from July 1st, 2021 to August 24th, 2021. 

As always, the Student Services team will be working to ensure that we are ready for the new school year.

If we would like to recommend a friend or family member for admissions, please call our professional admissions team, who will also be working to ensure that CIS is ready for the new school year.

We will run a staggered entry to the beginning of the school year which follows the schedule below:

Grade 7 to Grade 12

Aug 25: First day of school (Full Day, starts at 8:30am)

Grade 1 to Grade 6

Aug 26: First day of school (Full Day, starts at 8:30am)

ECE 

Aug 25 - 26: Staggered start days (Half Day, 8:30am-11:30am)

Aug 27: Full Day, starts at 8:30am

We believe parents and schools need to cooperate to ensure the health and safety of CIS students during the holidays.  

The following are some suggestions to parents from CIS for your consideration:

1. To prevent contracting infectious viruses, avoid going to public areas with many people and remind your children to wash their hands frequently, especially after outdoor activities.

2. Teach your child to memorize your phone number, in case of emergency.

3. Keep a regular routine during the holidays to ensure that the transition back to school in February will be easy and smooth.

4. Keep consistent eating habits for your child, to ensure a nutritional balance of food, avoid overeating or under nutrition.

5. Cultivate child’s interests. Support interactive exploration and continue reading during holidays.
