While not all universities like to interview applicants, those that do are aiming to get a more comprehensive understanding of the applicant's background to make their admission decision. For many CIS students, this is an important challenge to determine whether they can get their dream offers. How does CIS U-GO (University and Career Guidance Office) help them during this process? Here are some useful tips from Mr. Wilber, our U-GO consultant with 8 years of experience in overseas applications.

The CIS Mock Interview Program is one of the many resources offered by U-GO each year, and it is available in a variety of settings, based on the time of year and the goals of each student. Generally, it takes place a few days before the actual interview. A question list and a few sessions help students get familiar with the process, reduce nervousness and improve their performance over practices.

This school year, U-GO has successfully helped some Grade 12 students pass their interview and get early acceptances from many universities, including the Chinese University of Hong Kong. CIS U-GO continues to provide students with the tools and resources they need to pursue their higher education dreams.
