Second Place in STEAM National Finals!
Why do we emphasize STEAM education at CIS? We're not just teaching students tech skills or equipping them with the latest tools. STEAM is truly a mindset. Through the unique design process, students learn to recognize a real-life problem, and through hands-on tests, they create a solution. They become problem-solvers and critical thinkers, and succeed in making a meaningful difference.
Future City, a worldwide STEAM contest with 30 years’ history, is a perfect chance for students to challenge themselves and showcase their STEAM mindset by presenting the idea, model and essay of their own future city. This is CIS' second year joining this competition. This year, our students created a "Waste-free" city. Out of 120 competing teams, CIS is so proud that our two Junior High teams won Second and Third place respectively in the China Finals National Competition! Students spent more than 3 months planning, creating and testing their future city model, improving their research, 3D printing, laser cutting and tinkering skills in our Idea Lab. This is your moment, future leaders. CIS couldn't be prouder to see your creativity, perseverance and leadership shine in front of the world. Way to go, changemakers!
