Italian Week: A Cultural Celebration with CIS Community
When we say that CIS has good friendships and partnerships with our international community, we truly mean it!
Ciao! This week at CIS, we celebrated Italian Cuisine week, an annual cultural event that strengthens our school’s ties to the Italian community, and enriches our knowledge of the world around us. Our holistic education ensures that we build leaders with global mindsets who are knowledgeable and appreciative of cultural, social, political and economic systems in other countries. Events such as Italian Week help us develop such awareness through avenues like food, fine arts, music and more.
Students were given the opportunity to learn about the importance of a healthy Mediterranean diet. They also enjoyed a week of delicious food, cooked by the CIS culinary team who were trained by the very talented Chef Patrick Benedetti and Chef Giancarlo Di Francesco from the Four Seasons Hotel Guangzhou. This annual event was held in conjunction with the Consulate General of Italy in Guangzhou. Ms. Lucia Pasqualini, Consul General of Italy, was invited to join CIS Parent Advisory Council (PAC) and students for lunch. She was joined by special guest and friend of CIS, Harley Seyedin, President of the American Chamber of South China. CIS is truly lucky to have such wonderful ties to the foreign community, as it helps all our students learn today to lead tomorrow in an ever-changing world.
Ciao! Stay tuned for our next cultural week… till then, enjoy these amazing photos!
