Learning To Love & Share | “Love in a Box” Charity Initiative
This festive season, the CIS Student Council came together to unveil a heartfelt charitable initiative called 'Love in a Box'.
“Designed to bring joy and warmth to underprivileged children, our generous CIS students carefully chose new items containing a mixture of the 4 W’s – Wash, Write, Wear and Wow, and put them in a wrapped box to donate, ensuring that each child gets items that they both need and will love. This is the perfect opportunity to share a little joy and excitement with our peers this season!” said a member of the Student Council.
After the gift boxes were collected from all the students, a group of CIS Student Council members, mentors and even the school leadership team gathered together to build a ‘Giving Tree! It was quite an impressive feat as everyone had to make sure that all the boxes could be stacked up under the tree. That’s where their STEAM skills came in handy!
As you walk into the CIS lobby, you will see our most amazing ‘Giving Tree’, rising above stacks of beautifully-wrapped gift boxes, each presenting our best wishes for who will soon receive them.
“A wonderful initiative like ‘Love in the Box’ is just the beginning of understanding that giving to others and developing empathy creates emotional connections to our community. Making a true difference in the lives of others is embedded in our CIS mission and core values, and we are very eager to donate these gift boxes to our young friends after the CIS Winter Festival.”
