Division Three (Junior High): Grades 7 to 9
Looking for an academic international secondary school? CIS is the right choice! Students in Grades 7–9 comprise our Middle School, and with the support of their teachers, learning support advisers, guidance counselor and administration, they strengthen their academic, life and social skills.
In addition to the core subjects of language arts, mathematics, science and social studies, students receive supervised study time in a technology or multimedia production class with robotics and 3D graphics printers. After school activities continue at this level as students learn to diversify their skills and participate in theatre productions, music, athletics and creative arts.
For many, this will be their first experience with moving from class to class and taking instruction from subject specialists. Following the middle school philosophy, students are carefully transitioned from elementary school and prepared for high school. As a local international high school in Panyu, Guangzhou, the lower secondary team work hard to develop a sense of community and learning where adolescents can thrive and find a sense of belonging.
Through challenging core and optional alberta secondary curriculum, students develop their collaborative, cognitive, and research skills throughout their Junior High experience which helps to prepare them for High School.
