To prepare our ECE students for their next grade, we started (from last week) the ECE Online Extension Program with our friends joining us in the 4/5 and 2/3 program. It has been a fun learning week getting to know their new teachers and engaging in daily online activities. Let’s take a look at their fun week!
PreK2-3 with Ms. Hung
Ms. Hung is so thrilled to see many adorable little faces over the last week. We started our Pre K 2-3 extension program last week and I had an amazing time with these little cuties. Over the online course last week, we started off with our Show & Tell. Children were extremely excited to show their favourite things to Ms. Hung, and it turned out to be a fun gun and robot party. Moving on, we learned about the alphabet sounds throughout a fun activity, children were able to follow along. In addition, we did an ice cream scoop counting activity; I was amazed by the children’s awesomeness. They were able to “eat” all the ice cream scoops we made together. Furthermore, we made food flowers over a recorded lesson and counted the flower petals together. What made this activity so special? Because we ate all the materials/ingredients right after the activity. Yum!
If you know Ms. Hung, you know she likes to dance and exercise. Together as a class, we did a fantastic animal yoga and number dance. It was exhausting but fun. I can tell they got some moves. Last but not least, we had a spectacular Mandarin time with Ms. Lok Yee. We played a fruit game and made some fluffy cute birds by using old toothbrushes.
Guess what’s going on next week? We are going to explore different transportations and try to plant a plant and create a beautiful garden. Can’t wait to have fun together next week…Now I have to go read a bedtime story for my little hunnies.
PreK4 Kindergarten with Ms. Kelly
Welcome to our first week! It was lovely to meet new friends and catch up with old ones. It was an exciting week filled with science experiments, dancing and even a shape scavenger hunt! We got to know each other a little bit better by doing a ‘get to know you’ game. Overall, it was an action-packed week.
