Swim Meet
On Saturday, October 27th ten of our swimmers went to the British School of Guangzhou to compete. All the swimmers rose to the challenges of a large swim meet; long wait times, hot sun, marshalling, and lots of people. Everyone swam as fast as they could, conquering nerves and proving how fearsome they were in the water.
Jasmine swam the first and last race of the day – showing her determination and effort in each one. She dropped 3 seconds in her 50 freestyle from the meet in September! Lianna dropped 3 seconds in her 25 breast. Tiger dropped 5 seconds in his 50 breast. Good job to all the swimmers who came to such a large first meet!
It takes courage to stand up on the block next to seasoned competitors yet it did not hold anyone back in trying their absolute hardest!

Elementary Track Day @CISGZ
The rain held off and it was a beautiful morning on Saturday for the GISES League Track Day. Student-athletes from UISG/BSG and UISZ totally approx. 155 it was a very busy track at CISGZ. The faces on the determined young Grizzlies athletes who have been practicing for the past couple of weeks were ready to compete finally against other schools. There were some amazing efforts in the events that we present. From sprints/hurdles/Javelin/Standing Long Jump and finally the Vortex Football throw.
It was a full 2 hours of competing and many thank you’s need to go out to the many Volunteers who helped out. Without them we simply could not host such an amazing day of track and field for this young group of athletes. If you are interested in Volunteering your time, please contact your child’s homeroom teacher.
