Spelling Bee Championship is a very popular competition held in North America. Every year thousands of students from Canada and the USA try out to be the Spelling Bee Champion.

As part of our CIS House events, we held our first Spelling Bee Championship. The participants signed up and had weekly spelling practice with Mr. Lee during recess time. The students sacrificed their free time to be better spellers. Students had to practice every day at home and school to be successful.

We had four separate divisions: Lower elementary, upper elementary, middle school, and high school. All the finalists did an amazing job spelling out their words.

The lower elementary school champion was Freddy from Grade 4. Our upper elementary champion was Doo Yeong from Grade 6.

The middle school champion was Mary from Grade 8 and our high school champion was Jisu from Grade 9. Congratulations to all the fantastic spellers!
