On September 25, we hosted our very first University Fair. We welcomed over 20 universities from Canada, UK, Italy, Australia, Switzerland, and Spain!
Our Junior High and High School students visited each booth with their questions. Here is a sample of what they learned.

I learned that if I want to go to an engineering university I need to have over 85% in Math and Physics (in Alberta High School Diploma Examination).— Pepsi from Grade 9
The best part of the university fair is getting to learn more and to prepare us for our future. We will have a lot of options. ——Yumna from Grade 7
University and college are different. College tend to have less students in one class while university can be 200 students in a lecture room. ——Juleah from Grade 9

After the Fair, CIS School Counsellor Mr. Turner had an in-depth session with CIS parents about Alberta Diploma and graduation requirements. Including this group session, we will also have one on one sessions with every G12 family for university application consultation.

A big thank you to all the universities and colleges that came to the fair! And thank you to all students and parents that joined us to create this valuable experience!
